No Name: Snow White / No Name: Snežana / 2005

Based on the play by Robert Walser

Robert Walser’s 1901 Snow White picks up after the fairy tale is supposed to be over — the queen, the prince, the huntsman and Snow White herself are all still alive, and they spend the play arguing, in circles, about what actually happened and who’s really to blame. It’s less a retelling than an interrogation of the story everyone thinks they already know, with the characters themselves refusing to settle into their assigned roles.Directed by Bojan Đorđev, the production premiered at the Little Theatre Duško Radović in Belgrade in 2005.
