Text by Georges Feydeau
Free Exchange Hotel adapts Georges Feydeau’s 1894 farce about Monsieur Pinglet, who talks his neighbor’s wife into a night at a discreet Parisian hotel while his own wife is conveniently out of town — only for half the cast to end up checking into the same building.
Feydeau built his reputation on this kind of mechanism: doors, disguises and bad timing turning one small betrayal into a full-blown chase through a hotel where nobody ends up where they meant to be.
Directed by Boris Liješević, the production premiered at the Yugoslav Drama Theatre in Belgrade on December 23, 2016.
