The Flight of Jonathan / Jonathanov Let / 2015

The Flight of Jonathan adapts Richard Bach’s novella Jonathan Livingston Seagull, about a gull who cares more about the perfect arc of a dive than about foraging with the flock, and gets cast out of the colony for it.

What follows is less a story about a bird than about anyone who chases mastery for its own sake — pushing past what’s expected of you, even when it costs you your place among your own.

Directed by Nikola Zavišić, the production premiered at the Children’s Theatre Branko Mihaljević in Osijek, Croatia, in April 2015.
