Pippi Longstocking moves into Villa Villekulla with a monkey and a horse she lifts over her shoulder for fun — daughter of a sea captain lost somewhere at sea, with no mother and no interest in living by anyone else’s rules.
Her neighbours, Tommy and Annika, adore her; the adults around her don’t, and try to place her in a children’s home. Pippi refuses on her own terms, forcing the grown-up world to explain itself instead of just being obeyed.
Directed by Anđelka Nikolić, the production premiered at Slovensko ljudsko gledališče Celje on November 30, 2013.
