The Regime of Love / Režim Ljubavi / 2018

Tanja Šljivar wrote this piece on commission for Atelje 212, turning from her earlier work on war and history toward something closer to home: how people build and lose relationships in an age of dating apps and instant messages.
Directed by Bojan Đorđev, it moves through different arrangements of love — marriage, affairs, open relationships — without settling on easy answers about what any of them are supposed to look like.
The production premiered on the Petar Kralj stage of Atelje 212 in Belgrade on April 28, 2018, and has stayed in repertoire for years since.
